Hi All, I’m 28 years old and have recently had a meeting with the hospital to understand what the chances of having a baby are. Current EGFR of 27 and stage 4 kidney disease. Have been stage 4 for the last 15 years. Has anyone had a successful pregnancy? Really looking for some support as feeling very lost and alone.
Hi @leaahhh_l98
Welcome to the forum! I hope there’s someone on here who can share their experiences with you.

Some trusts and units have pre-pregnancy clinics for women thinking if having children. I’d urge you to check out if your unit has those and discuss this topic there. There are a lot of risks when egfr is low and it’s best to have a well thought medical plan to support and follow you through this if you intend to proceed.
I have already seen the pre pregnancy team. I would like to engage with people in the same situation as i am or have been in and find out wha their outcome was.
