Hi. I’ve had a transplant 19 years now. I currently have shingles. Has anyone got experience of this please?

I’ve had shingles, 5 years after my second kidney transplant. It was a minor case and I recall having some kind of vaccine or anti viral medication for it and it kept the shingles under control. I had small amounts of blisters on back of upper arms.

Thanks for your response

I’ve been in pain for over a week but only diagnosed when big rashy blotches had appeared when I woke up on Thursday morning. I’ve now got Aciclovir so hoping I will start to improve soon. I haven’t got many blisters but have a lot of pain in my chest and back.
