I am aware that bran cereals aren’t the lowest in potassium choices, but they aren’t necessarily a bad choice and have their benefits.
There is balance in everything, and that is good. I must be doing something right with my potassium levels anyway based on my results despite having an eGFR at 14.
I think it is always good to offer a balanced view and to impart what works for someone may not for someone else

I was diagnosed Stage 3a in May this year. Initially very little info from GP, but requested a conversation with a dietician. To be fair didnt have to wait too long, but most of the information was lost as I couldnt understand a lot what he was saying. His accent was very strong and on the telephone it was difficult. I asked him to send it all in paper form or email. Which he did but it was just a poster downloaded from the internet!
Most of my information has been through forums like this. People are very kind and helpful. Just needed to weed out the USA dites as they do seem to treat CKD differently.
