It is fair to say that the reason I have CKD is because of a high output stoma. How do others manage the dietary requirements of living with both of these?

Hi Pat, do you have an ileostomy or urostomy, I think the dietry requirments might be a bit different for each of them?
I have an ileostomy because of crohns disease and find the diet conflicts more with diabetes than dialysis. Diabetes, normal healthy, high fibre diet. Ileostomy ‘white’ diet, low fibre, no whole food like nuts or foods with skin, anything that can cause a blockage, almost completely opposite of the diabetes diet!
