I’ve been diagnosed with unrelated cancer today, to add to being stage 5 CKD.
Thankfully the cancer is treatable and contained, so I’m not looking at heavy treatment and recovery hopefully, beyond some magic blasting of the little bugger.
But, I’m awaiting contact back from my renal consultant, to get an idea of what delays this will put on my transplant journey as I am egfr 14 and falling 1 every 2 months or so.
I am being prepped for the fistula, so I know dialysis is coming for sure now, just trying to get all this processed in my head, having lost my Dad on Friday too. Adding it to the list
I am so sorry to hear about your recent cancer diagnosis, that is a lot to take on on top of what you’re already dealing with. I am sure there are many other members here who can relate to you .

Deepest condolences on the loss of your dad Chalky. So sorry that you are facing such a difficult time at the moment. It’s strange how sometimes everything seems to come at once and we wonder how we are going to get through to the other side. My thoughts are with you and your family and I hope that together you will find the strength and determination you need to face the weeks and months ahead.
