Kidney disease can have a real impact on your everyday life. What are the biggest things you’ve had to change? How have you coped with those changes?
I was diagnosed last year, stage 3B. The biggest changes that I have made to date is gave up drinking alcohol, was never a big drinker to start with and I have gave up drinking fizzy Juice (pop) now I am focusing on chocolate and crisps. I find doing one step at a time helps and easier to micromanage rather than trying to do all at once. I’m still learning what I can and cannot have, as there is lots of conflicting info out there.
I was diagnosed about 15 yes ago as my issue is hereditary and my father was diagnosed and we my sisters and myself were tested all have the Apckd but I’m the only one that has serious issues and am now in kidney failure
Reducing alcahol and red meat intake. Trying not to feel guilty when I do have these, as otherwise it can feel like existing rather than living
