Hello Admin

Huge congratulations on reaching 1,000 members! :tada:

Being part of Kidney Community has meant having a place where people truly understand the ups and downs of the kidney journey. After a recent stroke I had to step away from the community for a while, but I’m now hoping to participate more and become more involved. I’m quite far into my own kidney journey, being on dialysis for the last three years, and I’d really like to give back by offering any tips, advice, and support that might help others.

Sometimes just knowing there are people here who “get it” can make all the difference. It can be a very lonely road to travel alone. Wishing the community continued growth and strength.

Hi @Shona!

Thank you so much for sharing this and huge thanks for your lovely words :purple_heart:.

I’m really sorry you’ve had such a tough time recently, especially with your recent stroke, but it’s so nice to hear you’re feeling able to dip back into the community again. After three years on dialysis, the experience and understanding you bring is so valuable and it’s incredibly kind of you to want to support others too.

You’re absolutely right that having people around who really get it can make such a difference. We’re really glad you’re here! It’s people like you that make Kidney Community such a supportive place  .
