On tough days I always plan 1 small thing to look after myself! It could be making my fave food for dinner, buying flowers, saving a podcast for a walk, planning a call with someone! Really small tiny acts that you intentionally do - I find the act of planning them really helpful!
I find the philosophy of Stoicism extremely useful (NB that’s with a capital “S”!). It’s about engaging with your emotions and feelings in meaningful and actionable ways. I thoroughly recommend “The Daily Stoic” by Ryan Holiday; and his podcast & website of the same name.
That sounds like such a lovely and intentional way to take care of yourself @SMGreen! Planning those small moments of kindness can make such a difference, thank you for sharing that idea
