How do you balance work or studies with your kidney appointments and treatments?
I’ve been lucky with my work, the company I work for are pretty flexible and although I have taken days as annual leave for some appointments or operations, if it’s a simple consultant or blood test, I can plan my work day around it.
The past few months, I’ve changed my start time (as I work from home and head out for half the day, then write up reports in the afternoon) that allows me to go for a walk first thing before I head out, and that helps me mentally for the day
I am lucky in that respect, and whilst it has taken months and a lot of chats and some complaints, they have listened and are making reasonable adjustments within my workload as I get worse
