Have any of you had steroids prescribed?
Did you have many side effects?
I have been on steroids for the last 3 weeks and finding it am gaining weight, feeling bloated and now legs and ankles are swelling
I am at stage 4 with egfr of 15
I was on steroids before I had a kidney removed.
The only side effects I had,were ,that I felt so good while I was taking them.
When I stopped, I felt very ill again
Yes. Sounds standard! I’m on them at the moment and always a bit swollen, but the benefits definitely outweighing the side effects.
Just had my latest egfr , now at 24 after 2 months of steroids and being tapered off them, consultant seems to think this will be my baseline.
To be honest a bit deflated with it, was hoping it would be a little better,
Any of you had the same?
